The All Historic Meeting at Wakefield Park - southwest of Sydney - has come
and gone during which the weather treated us to 4 separate seasons over the
three days. We are only 5 days away from the start of summer at which time
we would expect daytime temperatures in the order of 25 C (x 2 - 10% + 30 =
75 F approx). Well on Friday it was snowing, Saturday it was raining and
Sunday it was about 30 C (84 F).
I think I'm going to have to make a better offer to my pit crew (wife) to
entice her back next year especially when I tried to heat our overnight
accommodation (only barely converted horse stables with cobblestone floor)
by lighting a fire which smoked so much we had to open up the door and
window to clear the air.
A great weekend, good competition, fantastic selection of cars and a great
bunch of folks. All this and we didn't get booked on the way down or back.
Regards to all
Paul
