My '66 MGB roadster is painted Blue Royale (OK, I know now that it is a
'70 color) and I like it very much. The original factory code was BU38 and
I think that any good paint supplier should be able to make this paint for
you. Until now I've never encountered people who disliked the color so I
guess other (MG) people like it as well. Another advantage of this color is
that it is very rare (I haven't seen this color on a roadster in Holland
before) but still original.

I wouldn't add any pearl effects to this color. It is nice as it is. I'll try 
to get
a picture of my car (on a race track - photo courtesy of Rick Huber!) on
the MG web page later this year. Then you can see for yourself.
