Well said Terry. I once attented a lecture on car electrics, (they all suffer 
from problems includig Bosh) In any event the point was made that in many 
trucks, seperate grounds are provided to everything, rather than a common 
ground( the body or chassis) Electrical problems rarely occur with a truck's 
set 
up. 

Whenever I run into and weird electrical fault , I check the ground first.
