That all depends.  Basically, remove everything you can that they would need
to remove, leaving only things you need in there to drive (obviously).  Of
course, you can have the car towed via flatbed to wherever you need it to
go.  This would allow you to remove a bunch more.  

However, you say you're not looking for a superb job, so you're probably not
planning on painting the engine compartment, trunk, or interior panels, so a
lot of this advice is useless to you.  I will say one thing...BE CAUTIOUS
about who you choose to do the job.  There's a LOT of "cheap" body shops out
there, and you wouldn't beleive the horror stories...  I'm not sure what all
you want to do, but if I paid less than $500 for a paint job, I'd be
nervous.  Just for reference, a complete, clearcoated paint job (including
all the details) in an original MG color would cost you around $1500 (give
or take a couple hundred).
