engine rebuild finished

Got "Baby" running tonight. Finished a complete rebuild of the engine, 
(except gen and starter). Does anyone know what the best lubrication is
for the inertia type starters ? I have been using 30 wt oil but the 
starter misses engaging about every 10 th time. (Don't want to ruin a new 
ring gear). Thanks all !!
