MGB Starter Rebuild

The starter on my 1970 MGB has finally expired.  I have two options:

        1.  Spend $120 on a rebuilt starter from Auto Zone with a life-
             time warranty, or
        2.  Have my existing starter rebuilt locally for $50, no warranty
             other than express/implied.
             
Does anyone have any advice they can offer?
