The car is a '62 AH 3000, it underwent a 5 yr ground up restoration including
a new wiring harness, bulb sockets, bulbs, with all areas highly detailed,
etc. ALL grounds passed a continuity test. Two years ago when the wiring
was completed, all circuits worked fine. The previous post related to the
brake lights resulted in a broken wire at the switch, however a gremlin still
exists as follows:
1.) The directional signals work fine when the parking or headlights are
OFF.
2.) When the parking lights are turned on the right front and left rear
are dim,
while the left front and right rear appear excessively bright.
3.) With the parking lights turned on, only the right front and left
rear (the dim
lights) operate with directional functions.
Some thoughts I have are as follows:
1.) Faulty headlight switch
2.) Faulty flasher unit
3.) Faulty flasher relay (that expensive unit with 9 wires attached
located in a
nearly inaccessable spot)
