One last overdrive question....

I'm finally getting to the point of firing up the rebuilt engine and the
o/d for the first time. Went to fill the tranny and found it didn't have
the filling hole/dip stick in the top. I couldn't find anything on it int
the workshop manual, but the o/d came from a later rubber nosed car.
Anyway... it looks like it's filled from the side of the tranny, atleast
there is a very worn plug there. Is this correct?
