I am not sure of the background to this thread, concerning Lancia Fulvias.
Calling the Fulvia a rot box is slightly unfair. The Fulvia was one of the
best small cars one could buy at the time, and rusted no worse than many
other cars. However more were made of the other makes, so more survive.
The Fulvia is a very capable front wheel drive coupe, with impressive power
for a small engine size.
Once they are correctly prepared, they are a wonderful car to drive, just
look at their success in the World Rally Championship, and this is obvious
when one drives a Fulvia.
If you don't like the 1300 version, then the 1600 isn't that much different.
Sure, there is extra power due to the increase in engine size, and there is
extra grip due to the wider tyres, but many believe that the 1300 is the
nicer to drive, many think that the engine is sweeter, and the narrower
tyres give less grip, but the steering is more delightful.
Whilst the amount of parts cannot compare to what is available for a much
more common MG or Mini, a surprising amount of parts are available, and
there are enough specialists who know what they are talking about. Our
