You won't be in the academy forever, so free time is in your future.
Put the car in storage someplace out of the weather. Then get catalogs and
books and magazines and start getting familiar and educated with the B.
Then during your leave/vacation, visit the car and start a list of needed
work and probable needed parts.
Once you get some spare time to work on the car you will be better
informed, have parts sources lined up, and should be ready to start working
on the car a little at a time. The main thing is that you will already
have the car.
Enjoy the car, your uncle obviously did. Besides Brits and boats just go
together, an MGB will fit right in.
