Hello TJ: According to Clausager, BMC built about 27,000 MGBs in 1964. The first car built in January of 1965 was No. 54469. So, it would appear that your's probably rolled out during the last half of December 1964. In those days the cars were often registered in the year in which they were sold and it wasn't unusual for vehicles to languish around for awhile, especially at a small dealership. Regards, David F.
