Gerry,

I enjoyed your comment about setting off car alarms. 

I have a '73 B with a Monza muffler (J. C. Whitney, too). I confirm your
"very deep tone" experience. Mine sets off a occassional car alarm too, and
not necessarily only in an underground garage either. 

I think it scares 'um!
