1980 MGB - Limited??

In several things I've read, owners of 1980 MGB's, have referred to the cars
as "Limited", noting that the vehicle was actually built in 1980. These cars
were of different colors, i.e. carmine red and had rostyles.  They were not
referencing the LE's which I know are something else.  Was there really
anything special about the 80's (other than the LE's) that they should be
called "Limited"; or was there another issue that was "Limited"?  Just
curious!
