Dear Don, Welcome, If the emgine tage has the prefix 18G it fits a May 62 to a Feb 64 MGB. A mechanical tach is correct, MG switched to the electric tach sometime in 64 when MG installed the new 5 main 18GB engine. Buy the way is it an OD trans?
