Hez: My guess would be that, if you only have the problem when the engine is cold, it's likely your choke (manual now) is set wrong at idle for use with an airpump. There may be nothing else wrong, or there may be. Try setting the choke in a little further on startup, and see if the problem persists. If it does, I'd suspect (more or less in the following order) your EGR valve, your plugs, your gulp valve, and then perhaps timing. Let us know how it goes, and hope that helps. Corey 75 MGB 'Rags' |
