MSRP for an MGA?

Does anyone know what the original cost (MSRP if you will) of an MGA
was in 1957? And, what would that be in today's dollars?

This question suddenly popped into my head as I was driving down the
freeway comparing the relative merits of today's sports cars with
those of the MGA era. If the MGA were to be sold today, how would it
compare -- in pricing at least -- with modern cars?
