After many trials and tribulations I was finally able to get the rear
springs in. Shocks were ok. Put in new u bolts, bushings, shackles.
The car sits noticeably higher now in the rear to the point of slopping
down towards the front. What a difference as far as the ride. The rear
steering problem has stopped and the car is a lot smoother on the bumps.
Would the front springs need replacement too if the rear springs were
shot? Newell Burke 1973 MGBGT "Bigfoot"
