Fellow fiends:
Kai R. asked about the carcoon. I don't have direct experience with these
items, but there is a similar product sold in the US, under a different
name, which currently escapes me. Anyway, I was speaking to a fellow a
couple of weekends ago, who uses them on his cars. He showed me his Alfa
Montreal (cool car, to!) that had just the previous week come out of its
storage bag (it had been in there for at least a year). He assured me he
hadn't cleaned the car at all; just got it so it would run and drove it off
(we were both showing cars at the same venue). The brake rotors were
spotless--that seems to be a pretty sensitive test to humidity and rust. He
swore that his cars came out of their bags in *exactly* the same condition
as when they went in. He loves these things. It sounds like they work.
Again, this would all be "hearsay" in a court room and as such it is
inadmissable evidence, but...
Ymmv, as they say.
