I had an overheating problem in the 56 MGA which we just finished = restoring. First thing I did was put in a new 180 deg. thermostat to = (no flames, please, it worked!) slow down the water flow and allow it to = spend more time in the radiator. I also put in a quart of "40 below". = Have driven it since in 85 deg. days, at 75mph and up and down hills and = never exceeds 180. Just my $.005 worth. |
