I purchased a Tonneau last year at University Motors Summer Party from a
vendor named Scarborough Faire. I've seen their name on the net from
time to time. Anyway, the item is NOS. Got a great price, and thought
that this was a no-brainer when compared to the Robbins or similar
replacement from Moss or V.B. at twice the price. Problem is, that
despite being factory original, it just doesn't quite fit. My car is a
77, with headrests. Seems that no matter what angle I set the seat back
to, I am either stressing the seams of the zipper behind the seat to the
max, or I can't get the cover to reach the lift-a-dot and snaps at the
windscreen. I've tried letting the cover bake in the sun prior to
fitting, and although when I do this I can force the cover in place, it
still fits like the skin on a snare drum, and the seams look ready to
let loose any minute. Are the factory covers fitted this poorly? Did
some DPO put my car on the rack, making it an inch longer than stock?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Regards,

Chris Delling
