Good god, I even managed to confuse myself.
The accepted working definition of the acronym is not as Kile says, but
rather MOrris WOlseley mG. As accepted by Robson, Clausager, and almost
everyone else who is close to being an authority.
BUT 
no one has ever produced primary documentation on that definition.
