Fellow fiends:

As a spinoff from the splitfire thread, someone mentioned plug temperatures.
I'm running Champion N9Ys in the '63 B now, mostly out of habbit. I have
to say that I've had some bad ones, right out of the box. I have thought
that I'd switch to either Bosch or a particular Japanese brand that I can't
remember the name of right now, but I still have two sets of new Champions
to go through... Am I related to Jack Benny?

Be all that as it may... I also have a dieseling problem. I don't know if
it is plug related or not, but I'm interested in trying a cooler plug to see
if that will help. I assume that's the direction I want to go in? What is
the secret to knowing what plug is one or two steps cooler than the N9Y?

What other implications are there in switching to a cooler plug?

Cheers, and have a fun and safe July fourth, Yanks!

p.s. Hey, I discovered a new pleasure with the B: I drove into the parking
structure this AM (I normally park in an adjacent surface lot) and had
oodles of fun setting off auto-burgler alarms in nervous people's Ford
Contours and other desireable machinery. I guess my exhaust note is tuned
just perfectly. Is this a great country or what???
