The A we are currently doing has every part either powder coated or cad plated,
except the engine red, and I just discovered a powder so close to that color
that I wish I had the ambition to tear the engine down again. Powder coating is
bullet proof.

You can't beat powder coating for long life. My next project will have the
entire chassis powder coated. See if you can find a good shop in your area.
