The MG Owner's Club is in Swavesey, England and is the largest single-marque
car club. (Please, no flames from MGCC!)Primary focused on their membership
in England and Europe - they cater 'overseas' - worldwide in fact.

Check them out on the 'web' - www.mgcars.org.uk/mgoc/index.html

Everything you'll need to know is there. I've been a member since '78 - for
their monthly publication 'Enjoying MG' (even had an article published a few
years back!), and particularly for their extensive supplies and accessories.

For export prices, they've a formula that removes their 'VAT' (Value Added
Tax) of 17% (! Yikes), and even with shipping and the Pound Sterling
exchange valued in - I've found it's a bargain.

The wheel fr'instance. A Molita 15" flat wood-rimmed wheel was 63.25 pounds,
and the boss for my car was another 23.50. With the VAT out - that wheel
became 53.82, the boss 20 - shipping was 24 - for a total of 97.82. The
Canadian dollar is 2.17 to the pound - so that wheel comes to moi at $212.50
Canadian!

All other places and prices in NA - Moss, Vic Brit, a few Canadian suppliers
- the same wheel would have been in the vicinity of $275 to 350 Cdn.! PLUS
shipping!

For my next act, perhaps a *pair* of alloy rocker covers, or maybe a *pair*
of ST - style front air dams...at these prices, I can almost afford the
extravagance!

Sssssomebody ssssssstop me!
