Todd, your treatise on the use of Lucas side-entry caps as pencil
holders assumes that the unit will be employed in a static position
on a horizontal surface. I believe the unit could be employed
successfully if it were affixed to a vertical surface, such as the
side of a metal filing cabinet. The use of a cyanacrylate based
adhesive, plus a plumb line to ensure perfectly vertical orientation
of the wire ports, is indicated.
If successfully executed, this has the added benefit of reducing the
clutter of stationary stationery items on the work surface.
