I had the same problem while restoring my '66B. To solve it I had a friend 
fashion a 
device similar to a dent puller but with a tapped hole (I don't remember the 
thread 
size) in the end. It worked like a charm!

If you can't come up with a similar tool yourself, maybe I could send you the 
tool (if 
you promise to return it!) if you could come up with some way of covering the 
shipping 
costs. It weighs a couple of pounds.
