Probably yes, if you really stripped the thread in the block.
Heli-Coils are great for solving your problem.
You have to drill the original hole to a larger size, then use a
oversize thread cutter (included in the set) with the same pitch as the old one
and finally insert the Heli-Coil using its special tool.
Even if you have to buy the complete tool set, it is still a relatively
cheap repair.
You probably don't have to remove the engine block from the car.
