MGF - why not MGD or MGE ?

          Why MGF?,
          The new MGF has just been launched in Denmark, with a lot of 
publicity.
          Unfortunately the danish importer of MG's can't tell why the car is
          called MGF, and why the MGD or MGE name hasn't been used. Does any of
          you folks tell me why?
