I've had the same problem, my radiator would need to be filled up on a
regular basis, but it never got hotter than 90c, never, no matter what
driving condition. I replaced the radiator cap, then the temp dropped to
80-85c, but coolant/water loss continued. I later noticed a light gray
covering of junk on the inside of the bonnet and front of the carb
dashpots, engine. After watching and listening to the engine after a drive
I heard a slight hissing noise and located a tiny hole in the join of the
filler pipe attachment to the radiator. This will be fixed soon. I wonder
would a pressure test reveal a slight leak somewhere?
