The time has come for me to put some new tires on car #2 (currently serving
honorably as car #1), my 1985 Saab 900. Although this is no LBC, I thought
the wealth of accumulated tire experience on this list could help me out. I
want to put on quality, H rated tires but the size currently on the car {185
65 R15} is not real easy to find. I am thinking of going with 195 60's but
I want to make sure that the size is OK. I unfortunately did not archive
the site for the handy tire size computaion equation that came up a while back.
Questions:
can someone please send me the web location of the tire size equation?
What will be the size difference between the 195/60's and the 185/65's?
does anyone have experience with Perelli P600's?
I have sourced these for $75/each (in a 195/60) and they seem quite similar
to the old P6's.
OBLIGATORY LBC CONTENT:
I have had Bridgestone Potenza HP41's on my B for about 20,000 miles and I
am _very_ pleased with their performance and would put them on the Saab in a
heartbeat if I could get them in the right size. Unfortunately they don't
make this tire any more.
Any other tire recommendations?
Thanks from the bottom of my tread wear indicators
