I wouldn't be in a hurry to give all the credit to MMO.  The
gas gauge sending unit in my Midget froze up a few years ago
after the car hadn't been run for a long time.  (Another of
my extended restorations.)  After a couple of fills of the
gas tank it suddenly started working.
