 Rotary engine in a B
It has been done, and I have heard of plans available to do it. A friend
of mine drove one, said it ran quite well but you had to rev the engine
hard to get the car going. This engine apparently dosn't have the low end
torque that the B engine does, but once going it was fast.
As far as the rebuild,
You could buy another engine that is in good shape, not rebuilt and
install it while you finish the one you are working on. Then swap engines
when the rebuilt is done. Just another option.
