carburator rebuild

       I'm just about to rebuild both carbs on my 72B with help from the
original sevice manual. Only problem is that the manual goes into great
detail about the overhauling but not in the actual removal of the carbs from
the intake manifold.  Before I do anything drastic I'd appreciate some
guidance.  I'm not quite the gear head I should be so any responses would be
