As part of my seemingly endless speculation on the all-weather all-season
all-purpose MGB/GT (yet to be purchased, yet to be found, yet to be funded),
do you run your GT with the "winter" 190F thermostat? I have gotten into
the habit of using the 160F thermostat in the summer months and I notice a
sig. difference over running with the standard 180. The car runs cooler,
which means I'm cooler (in a manner of speaking). Perhaps if you swapped
for a 190F during the winter your heater would belt out more BTUs?
Just a thought. Id be interested to hear any other net-experience on
running the "hotter" thermostat in the winter months.
