Even though I have never actually had any work done on my '78 Midget by the
Motorhead crew, I must say this in their behalf: Back in January of 1991,
during Desert Shield/Storm I was in the army at Fort Bragg, NC. It was the
first week of January, so the War hadn't really "kicked off" yet and I was
taking leave to visit relatives in PA. I set out on the 450 mile trip in my
Midget and disappointedly broke down (threw a connecting rod) on the
outer-loop of the D.C. beltway. I had my car towed to Motorhead in Alexandria
and told them that I couldn't afford any work on it right away. I finished my
trip home and back to Ft. Bragg via Greyhound and was unable to go get my car
until more than a month later! Not only did Motorhead not charge me any rent
to have "the little green lady" sit on their lot for a month, they let me and
my buddy use their air tools to lower the bumper on his truck so that we could
use the tow-bar to get my Midget back to Bragg!! I don't know if it was just
their way of being patriotic or what, but I have no complaints with the men of
Motorhead. (These are just my personal feelings and have no affiliation with
Motorhead)
