Three things must be remembered here:
1. A lot of the responses to your original post were made
"tongue-in-cheek"
2. Not all of us are as logical as others. (some of us may be what are
sometimes known as "random abstract thinkers" :-)
3. Given the above, noone who is older than John (and that is just about
everyone on the list) :-) likes to be told s/he isn't a born mechanic.
It's a matter of subtlety and tact. ;-)
BTW, IMHO. the B -- and other LBCs (at least from '74 back) -- _are_ just
about the most simple cars on which to work, short of an old Model T!
That's not to say they're easy to trouble-shoot! :-)
