Well according to Wood and "BURRELL" in "MGB the illistrated history" the
MG D was design code ADO 21 and was a mid engine car with IMHO an ugly
style. The only picture of it shows it in coupe form I don't think there
was a convertable. It lost out to triumph (in that BL was only going to
produce one new car, an MG or a Triumph) resulting in the TR7 being
produced, however it's wedge front was carried over into the TR7 (with
modifications to fit an engine).
