I missed the begining of this thread and can't find the coolant drain
plug on my Midget 1500 either.
The Haynes manual does make mention of the plug and even describes
where it is, but the description doesn't seem to match my car... odd.
Does anyone know where this plug is?

Yes there is one somewhere ... I didn't reply earlier because I assumed, like
everyone else it seems, that you were talking about an earlier midget. I too
have a 1500, and I know there is a drain plug there somewhere. Doesn't the
Haynes manual tell you where. I know it tells you to remove it when draining
the coolant, because I changed my coolant last weekend, and didn't bother to do
this, just dropped the bottome hose and flushed it through.
I guess you need to actually drain the whole lot though ? I can check my
Haynes manual on Monday if you like ?
