I researched a little further - Reversing lamps were fitted as standard to
the MGB in March 67 (from 100414 on) and the the GT in Apr 67 (from 16928
on).  But in typical BMC fashion there was a footnote to the addition of
lamps -  for roadster bodies from #100016 to 100414 reversing lamps were
fitted intermittently??  (go figure)
