I'm having a problem with the Weber downdraft on my MGBGT. The
secondary throttle shaft is sticking in a 1/2 open position. I
disassembled the carb and it is not the linkage or throttle plate but
the shaft which is sticking in the bore.
This has me baffled since I would expect the problem to be the opposite,
wear causing a loose fit. It appears the shaft is binding in the bore.
So far the only thing I can come up with is the shaft has bent ( I must
have great vacuum) or the carb body is warping.
Any suggestions or Ideas?
Anyone know where I can get a throttle shaft?
Anybody got a pair of SU's they want to sell?
