I've been a lurker on britcar since 1990, but this is my first posting.
Hello to all.

I've put a '78 OD into my 72 mgb and love it. I would recommend that you
acquire the
sub harness that connects the column switch to the o/d solenoid to the
disable sensors. I didn't get this, and had to make do with a cheezy
looking toggle switch on
my console. Also make sure that you use 40 wt NON-DETERGENT motor oil in
your new gearbox. The OD is actuated by oil pressure generated by an
eccentric
pump thing on the input shaft of the OD unit and viscosity is important.
The
detergents in most motor oils will eat up your brass (bronze?) synchros.
Lastly,
Everything mechanical will bolt right up, so slap that thing in!

I would. Pulling the motor again is a pain.

Above the passengers right knee. Just to the left of the windshield wiper
motor. Little
rectangular box with green wires sticking out of it.
