I have a '79B without the threaded holes, but a neighbor has a '69 (I
think) and his has these threaded holes. I asked him about them, they are
seat belt shoulder strap attachment points. The book "Original MGB" has a
photo, but says that it is on early '70's cars. Not sure why your '77 would
have them. Another neighbor has a '75 with the rubber bumpers, his does not
have them, the shoulder strap attaches to the wheel arch as does mine. Hope

I have a '77 B and there are holes on the back deck just forward of the
boot lid. They are threaded holes, about 7/16" or so. I've not seen any
hardtop that uses these mounting points, so I am at a loss to what these
are for. Any thoughts? Maybe I'll mount a couple of flags in them. :-)
