Well, I picked up my (yet unnamed) '70 Midget in Indianapolis on
Saturday. She ran pretty well (if slow) all the way home on 55mph
roads. I plan to follow the 'newly-acquired car' drill and adjust the
timing, valve clearances, etc... but, I am not sure what is the best
method for turning the engine over by hand. Any help appreciated.

Interestingly, I think the hardtop I got with the car may be
"factory", or atleast British-made. The windows have the same
"Triplex Laminated" markings as the windscreen, and it is a really
nice model with separate quarter windows instead of a single
wraparound rear window.

Oh yes, one other question: Has anyone on the list installed the
Victoria British "No-Lead Head" kit? Is it a good deal? Can I get
the same parts elsewhere for less? The engine burns some oil, and
while I'm not sure if it is the rings or the valve guides yet, if it
is the valve guides, it seems that doing the whole unleaded upgrade
while the head is off is a good idea. How hard are any aspects of
this procedure to tackle for someone with no machining equipment? Can
I simply farm parts of the chore out and do the rest myself?

Over and out.
