When it's time to replace the clutch, it's also time to replace the rear seal
around the crankshaft. You're almost there when you remove the old pressure
plate and clutch disc. Just remove the flywheel(6 bolts) and the locking
ring on the engine backing plate(4 bolts) and you now have access to
replacing the rear seal. They always eventually leak and it's usually
immediately after you've replaced the clutch. Not that replacing the clutch
has anyting to do with it but rather just to let know you know that it should
have been done when you had the engine out in the first place. Also, check
the seal and gasket on the inside of the transmission bell housing. Any
moisture around the input shaft is an indication that these should be
replaced. Finally, have your flywheel surfaced at a machine shop. This will
greatly improve the performance and life of your clutch.
