Dunno, but you had better check.
The instructions for my Sprite say the torque is somewhere around 140
lb-ft. If your B is similar, it will take some real wrenching. Don't
pull it off the jack stands or you'll spoil your whole day. YOu will have
to do something serious to hold the pinion, like: Get a 4 foot piece of
angle iron, oh, say, 1.5 inch wide sides 3/16 thick. Drill two holes that
match two of the holes in the flange (where it normally fastens to the
drive shaft). Bolt the angle iron to the flange so its free end rests
against the floor, preventing the flange from turning. *Now* try it. I
think some B's have some kind of crushable distance piece that is critical
for the pinion preload. Better get a manual.
