I put Slick 50 in one of my Italian cars, and it instantly ate through the
seals and made the motor leak like a sieve (not to say that I-cars are
leakproof :) ) I have come to the conclusion that these PTFE based additives
are great for more modern motors (with more than 10K miles and less than 40K)
to prolong engine life. I have a friend that put s-50 in his rebuilt 240Z
after 10K miles and now he sees less than 5% drop in compression after 75000
miles! Soooooooo, you be the judge!
