Try looking at the seals where the windscreen (windshield?) wipers come through
the scuttle, or alternatively the brake and clutch cylinder bracket seal. Both
these routes can let in considerable quantities of water and can be very
difficult to trace if you simply spray the car with water from a garden hose
pipe.
