Gee and everybody said it was easy to convert to negative ground. It
sounds like (IMHO) the voltage regulator contacts are sticking due either to
contact welding or residule magnitism. The next time you shut the car off and
the ignition light stays on, rap on the voltage regulator with the handle end
of a screwdriver and see if you can jostle the contacts free. I can't help much
further since I haven't gotten to the charging system on my BGT yet.
