Not all kits have the two bolt architecure; my SPAX kit has a bracket/spacer arrangement that connects to an additional bolt. I'd agree that the bolts do loosen, but the article in question was ludicrous; in clear ignorance of the instructions, the installer set it up and didn't check the bolts for 50K miles. I autocross my 1970 MGB almost every weekend, and drive it hard 2-3 days a week and *highly* recommend the conversion. |
