Hi Larry, in following you thread... A common mistake I have often made
in the past was connecting up the 1 3 4 2 firing order in the wrong
clockwise direction.... and it runs kind-a-like you mentioned... I know
it sounds silly.... but I sure felt that way when I reversed-em and it
purred right off the bat...
On my car the wires are sitting at : on the positions of the clock
1 3 4 2 = 3 12 9 6 IE: wire #1 at 3:00 O'Clock.... and counter
clockwise....for the rest...
Anyway.... I made this mistake for a long time twice over the last few
years.....just a thought....
And again, if this is dual carb... I forget if it is....then, 1&2 points
to front carb being out of whack....and if lots of testing, one often
needs to clean off the plugs after lots of wanking, spinning and tuning
gets lots of crud on the plugs, fouling-em-up..... CHEERS/....
